Short publications (journal articles, conference proceedings, publications in journals for professionals and book chapters from edited volumes) of UMC Utrecht authors will automatically be made open access. This is part of UMC Utrecht’s open access policy.

Eligible publications will automatically be made open access in the Utrecht University Repository six months after first publication, unless you opt-out.

To comply with your request to opt-out of open access regulations regarding Short Scientific work at UMC Utrecht, Utrecht University and UMC Utrecht (research office) will need to process the following categories of personal data: Your initials, last name and (UMC Utrecht) email. Utrecht University will lawfully process this data on grounds of GDPR article 6.1(b). Utrecht University and UMC Utrecht (research office) will process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR, more information on the way Utrecht University handles personal data can be found here and here. After one year, the opt-out form, and the personal data on it, will be deleted.
