Hey you, thanks for considering to join a project group of the Green Office UU!
As a project group member, you volunteer 1 or 2 hours a week to create real impact on campus and connect with like-minded people at the university.
There are 4 project groups, themed on 4 subjects you can choose from:
- Biodiversity group: planning projects and events around biodiversity
- Thrift shack: organising swap events during the year, helping with collection and distribution of donated items
- Events group: organising 3 or sustainability themed games, quizzes and outings for the Green Office community
- Sustainable Food group: organising projects and events around sustainable food
The project groups meet on a bi-weekly basis to check in and plan their activities. You can count on more or less 1 to 2 hours per week engagement (except for exam weeks and holidays), depending on the period and the planning that is needed for events. As a project group volunteer, you will be supported by our community coordinator, Clara and receive resources, information and networking opportunities from the Green Office.
We will start gathering sign ups in mid-August, and plan a gathering in September for all the possible new volunteers.
If you are not sure if you want to be part of a project group yet, or you want some more information before choosing your project group, you are welcome to sign up and come to our kick off meeting on Thursday, 24th of September from 4pm at the Green Office UU (Heidelberglaan 6).
